ElasTek Type IRHD-M Test Block Kit (71430-IRHD-M)
IRHD (International Rubber Hardness Degrees) is a separate hardness scale from ASTM D2240 Shore hardness, more commonly specified in ISO-driven testing programs. The Micro (M) variant of IRHD suits small or thin rubber specimens where the standard IRHD indenter geometry doesn’t fit — seven blocks at nominal values 30 through 90, matching the Shore scale’s value spread even though the underlying measurement principle differs.
Blocks are color coded, ship in a latching case, and are available individually. ISO-17025 calibration is included, with annual recalibration recommended.
If your testing program specifies Shore hardness rather than IRHD, you’ll want the Type A or Type M (Micro) kit instead — the scales aren’t interchangeable, so matching the kit to what your durometer actually reads matters here.
