CAM035E — Brass Mold Tool, 0.375″ Shank, Blunt Tip
The CCSi CAM035E is a precision brass mold pick with a 0.375″ diameter shank and blunt tip, on a 14″ tool with a plastic handle. It’s the heaviest-gauge tool in the CAM035 line, and the only one with a blunt rather than conical tip — built for pressing, seating, or scraping rather than picking into fine detail.
Specimen molds, cutting dies, and formers represent a significant investment in a rubber or plastics lab. Using steel tools for routine tasks — prying molds open, clearing stubborn debris — wears or damages that equipment over time. Brass is soft enough to protect the mold surface while still doing the job.
Best suited for: heavier scraping or seating tasks where a pointed tip risks gouging the mold surface, and where the added shank diameter provides more leverage.
