Shore ceased all production operations in 2012 and their products are no longer available. CCSi continues to support Shore equipment in regard to service, calibration and ISO/IEC 17025 certification.


The Shore® Manual IRHD System provides an economic and precise means of attaining IRHD hardness readings to laboratory standards in a production environment.

The Model 770 IRHD Durometer conforms to ASTM D1415, “Standard Test Method for Rubber Property — International Hardness” (2.5 mm indentor), as well as ISO 48, Type N. This method of determining material hardness is vastly superior to the method employed by ASTM D2240, DIN 53505, ISO 868, ISO 7619 or JIS K6253.

This unit has been designed to introduce all of the IRHD parameters, e.g., minor force, major force, and total force, in their proper sequence with a minimum of operator intervention, resulting in precise readings.
