CCSi 14″ Mechanical Guillotine Rubber Cutter (CCS-350)

This cantilever-style cutter trims raw rubber for viscometer and rheometer sampling, slices compounded material into preforms, and cuts cured sheet stock up to 3 inches thick with a minimum of operator effort required to get through the material.

A cam-action mechanism keeps the blade’s cutting edge nearly parallel to the material throughout the full stroke, which avoids the slipping and squeezing that scissor-action cutters tend to introduce when working with soft or uncured rubber stock — a common frustration with simpler cutting tools that this design specifically addresses.

The guillotine blade works against an aluminum strip, and compounded leverage built into the cutting arm generates strong cutting force without requiring heavy hand pressure from the operator, making repeated cuts throughout a shift considerably less tiring.

Blades are manufactured from high-carbon tool steel and can be resharpened by CCSi rather than replaced outright once they dull — contact CCSi directly for resharpening quotes and turnaround times. A spare parts kit (CCS-350-S) covers the two components that see the most wear over time: a replacement blade and a replacement aluminum cutting strip, keeping the cutter in reliable service without needing a full rebuild or replacement unit.
