CAM046 — 7″ Sprue Brass Pliers
The CAM046 is purpose-built for sprue and flash removal, with 7/8″ serrated jaws set at a 25º face angle and a brass acorn nut positioned specifically to add prying leverage — a mechanical detail none of CCSi’s other brass pliers include in their design.
At 7″ overall with foam-covered handles, it’s shorter than the general-purpose pliers elsewhere in this line, but that’s because it’s built around one specific task rather than broad, general-purpose gripping use. The angled jaw face combined with the leverage point at the acorn nut makes quick work of trimming sprues or flash from molded parts, without resorting to a knife or a steel tool that risks nicking or scoring the mold surface in the process.
Where the CAM041 through CAM045 cover general gripping, pulling, and holding tasks around a lab bench, the CAM046 is the specialist in the lineup — a tool built for one job tied directly to the molding process itself, and built to do that job well.
