CCSi features the Akron Abrasion Tester for evaluating the resistance to abrasion of rubber materials through the measure of volumetric loss of a rotating specimen exposed to the action of a standard grinding wheel.
It is especially well suited for testing harder materials such as conveyor belting, tire tread and footwear soles as specified in CNS 734, JIS K 6264 & BS903—A9.
The Model HT8022 abrasion resistance tester features the rotation of the test specimen while it is applied to a grinding wheel, which introduces variable forces by means of a reference mass. The specimen angle may be varied from 0º to 45º.
