The Hung Ta™ Emerson (Par Marton) Type Rubber Buffer Model HT8025 is designed for preparing test pieces from rubber vulcanizates, polymers, and those containing reinforcement materials … particularly products or articles that do not have a form or size suitable for testing.

ASTM D3183 “Standard Practice for Rubber — Preparation of Pieces for Test Purposes from Products”, describes the means for preparing test specimens that are too thick, have uneven surfaces, or contain textiles using the Emerson Type Rubber Buffer Apparatus.

The Hung Ta™ Emerson Type Rubber Buffer incorporates a “milling machine style” platform which is infinitely adjustable, within the working range, using the intuitive 3 axis controls.

The Model HT8025 also features an optional vacuum and debris collection system (not shown) which reduces specimen contamination and provides a cleaner operating environment.

The 36 grit, 150 mm (6 in.) diameter, buffing wheel affords rapid removal of material of even the most abrasion resistant stock. Buffing wheels of different sizes and abrasiveness are available to accommodate virtually any elastomeric material. A diamond dressing tool is also available to accurately and uniformly restore the abrading surface of the wheel.
