Rex® Durometer Model 1500: Description
Rex® Model 1500 Rex® Gauge Company
The Rex Model 1500 Durometer, patented in 1947, has been produced since the 1930s. The compact size, light weight and vest pocket design is ideally suited for harsh field conditions, as well as the rigorous conditions of the production floor or shipping and receiving departments.
The Model 1500 Durometer, durable by design, carries a lifetime warranty. It features a Vernier scale that reads in 5 point increments, which holds the maximum reading attained at virtually any angle. While durable, flexible and versatile, the Model 1500 is not recommended in QA/QC environments where high accuracy is required and it no longer conforms to ASTM D2240.
